A very productive weekend

A very productive weekend

I try to stay away from the “personal” posts while blogging, but every so often it seems fitting.

This first weekend of the new year has proven to be a very productive one.

It started early Friday with wrapping up the writing on the remaining chapters of the Fireworks CS4 Bible, the next step is editing while working with the publisher to get all the loose ends tied up.

However, working on the weekend is nothing new to me, if you have ever spoke with me you know this!

One thing that I did different this weekend was relaxed some and its only Saturday evening! I spent much of my free time listening to a bunch of new music, mostly Christian and I loved every bit of it. My cousin Teisha has always been able to recommend great bands to listen to, and this time was no exception.

I listened to NeedToBreathe, Newsboys, Casting Crowns, TobyMac, Natalie Grant, Third Day and a few others. If you are looking for some new music to throw on your iPod I highly recommend these groups. A few of them are not necessarily new to me, but they are still ones that stand out overall. If this is a sign of things to come for the new year.. then by all means, bring it on! I hope to keep this semi-relaxed weekend a bit longer than once a year, let’s see how that goes.

Wait, you relaxed? Who are you, and what did you do with Matt? 🙂

What happened with the Fireworks CS4 Bible? Did it get delayed/canned? It seems to be a special order everywhere that I have checked, as of Nov 2009. Amazon says the publisher is Wiley, but searching on Wiley turns up nada. I’m new to Fireworks and was hoping this book would be the definitive resource that I am looking for.
